Mayor Bruce Whitaker will hold his next monthly discussion, "Talk Around Town", at the closed Hunt Branch Library.
Months after the City of Fullerton closed the Hunt Branch Library for safety reasons, it will be the site for this month’s “Talk Around Town” with Mayor Bruce Whitaker this Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
Like his previous “Talk Around Town” events on the fourth Tuesday of every month, this will be an opportunity for residents to ask questions about any of the current issues affecting Fullerton ranging from dealing with the homeless community to the future of the Hunt Branch Library. The library has been a discussion point for the City for most of this year because of its emergency closure and also for the City’s plans to lease the land to Korean-American religious organization Grace Ministries International.
Until last June, the Hunt Branch Library grounds hosted a homeless encampment that faced the railroad tracks. However, Fullerton Police officers cleared the encampment, possibly in preparations for the City to lease the land to Grace Ministries.
