Fire Hydrant Bursts On Raymond Ave

Accident Believed To Be Caused By Semi Truck

A fire hydrant on Raymond Ave. near Jimmy's bar busted this morning at approximately 10 AM. According to Station 3 Captain, Dave Appel, news reached the department from a passerby who mentioned the busted hydrant. Fire Department Engine 3 responded to shut off water pressure and called a city maintenance crew to arrive at the scene.

Although nobody witnessed what had caused the hydrant to break off, it is believed that a semi truck may have caused the accident while in transit. City maintenence workers will be replacing the hydrant soon.
