The Sunday morning stabbing of a cab driver in downtown Fullerton started a city-wide manhunt for the two suspects involved.
The assault happened over a disputed fair, the cab driver says. When the cab driver pulled over near the intersection of Harbor and Amerige the suspect, who was seated in the front seat, began to punch him. When the cab driver realized he was actually being stabbed he drove away.
Two men were described in the incident which was widely reported, as being Hispanic and in their mid 20’s. Police were asking for the publics help in finding the suspects. It worked.
Nicholas Ryan Cameron, 24 yrs. old from Fullerton, turned himself in after family saw the story in the media and convinced him to come in. He was booked for assault with a deadly weapon.
