Man Crashes Into Stages Theater

A man in his early 80's crashed into the front of Stages Theater (400 E. Commonwealth) today at 3:28 pm. According to the driver's neighbor, who chose to not disclose his name, the man had recently undergone open heart surgery days prior to the accident.

While on his way to pick up a pizza next door, he lost control of his late model Ford Focus and drove into the lobby of the theater.

The Fire Department made a quick fix to help support the entrance of the building unit Monday when an engineer will assess the damages. No people were hurt in the accident. Stages new play, The Odd Couple, is set to open next Friday the 15th.
